As I go through the different iterations of my beat, I’ll add what they sound like here with a brief video explaining what I have within the track and the ways I’d like to improve the track.

Iteration 1

Made with Garageband over the course of a week, this iteration featured the main drill rhythm, the main baglamas melody, and supporting clarinet/baglamas melody, with a typical Tsifteteli guitar rhythm going in from i - V in D minor. The main thing I need to work on is the mixing of the track, figuring out how long each section should be, adding the quintessential gliding 808s and bass for the drill rhythm, and planning a build up for a melody section. Once I’m able to get these things, which I know is possible with the help of Mike, I’ll be happy with the beat and will gladly move onto maybe even writing lyrics.
