As I come up with elements that I’d like to add to my final song, I’ll add video or audio clips of what I’d like to include so I can begin to piece together my final piece.

Initial Ideation

Intro

I’d like to make an intro with a Varvitos (or a varvitos sample) because of its connection to Sappho and Dionysus, which I feel connects with the dancing and adoration aspect of Tsifteteli.

Drums

I’m thinking of doing a 4/4 Tsifteteli rhythm using a Toubeleki sound. When I reach the chorus, I’d like to add some drill inspired sliding 808s, since that something I haven’t seen in other Greek music but is still a key element in modern-day hip hop.

Melody

For the main melody, I’d like to use the Tsifteteli Hava that I learned in my Baglamas lesson with Orestis. Of course, I’d like it to be a bit faster.

I’d also like to have a Klarino holding down the harmony with something that sounds like this.

Samples

If possible, since I know the rhythm is different, I’d like to use the chorus of Mi Mou Xanafygeis as a sample once we reach the chorus of my song
